Position: MANAGER – SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Position Summary:
Manages a team of software engineers that architects and design enterprise software products. Ensures timely delivery of high-quality product. Provides strong technical guidance and defines development processes for continuous improvement. Interacts extensively with Senior Management and cross-functional groups.
Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural support during requirement gathering and lead software engineering team for development, user acceptance testing, production deployment and post production support of systems.
- Involved in System Analysis, Requirement Specification, Functional Specification, Conceptual Design and Detailed Design of IT Projects for development.
- Manage the process of moving the project from one declared milestone to the next.
- Facilitates communication upward and across teams including development and test teams for variances and technical information (architecture, design and implementation objectives).
- Identify and formulate strategies that can automate business critical processes and functions.
- Implements New Requirements and Enhancements through Change Management Process and ensure project delivery within timeframe.
- Investigate and advise on new methodologies and software tools that can improve the IT Software Development.
- Maintain plan and track progress of the project against Product/Project development lifecycle.
- Team Management with effective guidance for the delivery of solution as per industry standard practices using cutting edge tools and technologies.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of Prepaid/Postpaid Billing System, CRM, Mediation, Rating, Billing, Prepaid & Postpaid Development, C++, C#, Oracle, SQL Server, SharePoint, SOAP, XML, Java, J2EE, UDDI, WSDL, ODBC, JDBC, Oracle Apex, SQL & Architectures (SOA) and Web Services.
- Experience in building high performance, scalable, enterprise class software.
- Experience in all phases of product life cycle, preferable as a technical leader and manager.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Team management & leadership skills with cross functional technical teams.
Education & Experience:
- 10 to 12 years of software engineering experience.
- BS in Computer Sciences (Preferred: MS in Computer Science)
